that does tend to help when I stay on a steady sleep schedule before 10pm or earlier. Weed seems to be my best friend for now.

This worked for me many years ago but If I did It nowadays, I'd remain awake until 2:00-3:00 am before falling asleep.

My body clock has significantly changed over the years.

Maybe it is because you're schedule. My brother works a lot as a trader and he sleeps between the trading sessions lol

Perhaps It Is.

Whatever the case may be, I can't fall asleep before 2:00am.

I personally find it very helpful to count to 100 before going to bed. I always do that when I can't sleep.

Sleep training can be huge. Also I suggest a sleep study being done. Also look into sleep hygiene

I suffer from severe insomnia as well, I used to have episodes that where I wouldn't sleep for 3+ days at a time. It was terrible. One of the best things that has helped me with it throughout the years has been to listen to my body, and working.

Work(at least for me) burns a lot of that excess energy that would otherwise keep me awake, and the moment my body starts telling me that it is ready to go to bed, I turn everything off and go to bed.

I do the same.

I find that If you continue doing tasks and don't shut off there and then, the body/mind Is In another phase, hence a lot more difficult to fall asleep.
