Then what made energy? We end up so far back that we're completely out of the scope of science to a point where the only conceivable solution is that something inhuman, something like a deity, perhaps, started it all.
When people say that, I just wanna say stfu. Who made God then? Another fucking God? Then who made that god.

No. You've completely missed the point. Whatever created energy (energy is something we can conceptualise and comprehend as humans) cannot be comprehended by humans.

This topic will be a never ending debate as neither end has enough evidence to ever become truly correct.

But then the aspect of there being a 'lack of evidence' of one concept will become the topic for discussion. There's no escaping this, Jay!

Quote:Personally I'm an agnostic, but a question has been bugging my mind lately about religion.
Why do you believe in your specific god(s) and what made you come to believe in them? Did your parents force you to go to church like mine did? Did you have a personal experience that led you to believe in a non secular being? I'm just curious as I see no reason to believe in any of the religions out there at this moment in time.

I was born and raised as a Christian, I drifted away from it because of situations I will not be sharing anytime soon, that lead to my restriction towards communion.

Quote:If you do believe in a god, why do you think of them as being a "good" person?
For Christians, why do you worship God over Satan? Based on what I've read God was the biggest terrorist of all time. He killed millions as opposed to Satan's mere (Seven?), so why do you think of him as a good being when he can do the same to you if he happens to be real. God also doesn't believe in same-sex marriage, so this means he will shun gays to hell

Of course when we are talking about Monotheistic religions or in fact any religions we have the burden of proof from both sides.

The reason people are afraid of Satan or Satanism it's because of culture. Satan represents everything the mainstream society hates and makes it very hard to grasp. Satan = The Adversary, The opposed, The rebel.

On Satanism we do not care if you are homosexual or any kind of "detrimental" practice to society (Excluding murders, rapists and drug users)

If you haven't noticed I am a Satanist. The reason I chose this religion it's because I was chosen. One doesn't become a Satanist one is born to be one. I left Christianity because it is very logically flawed and very intolerant and as you mentioned leading campaigns and protests against equal marriage rights to the homosexuals.

Any religion that punished you for being human is in fact hurting more than what it is saving. I can spend hours taking jabs at it but, we will stop here

Quote:. As far as we know, Satan accepts all whether they "deserved" to be there or not, making him a better being. How do we know God isn't the corrupt one rather than Satan. Satan, or Lucifer, was said to be a fallen angel. What if he rebelled just as others have rebelled to gain their freedoms? Maybe he possibly lost and God covered it up to make him look bad.
"History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon." -Napoleon Bonaparte

The reason that Satan was casted down and banned from the heavenly kingdoms was because he fought for the right to not punish humans for their instincts. All the 7 deadly sins are things humans cannot avoid. We all do them. Now that's just sins against human nature which is what Satan was against of. He did not try to take God's throne or anything of the sort. "Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it, instead of love wasted on ingrates." He does not want all humans, he wants those who prove they are worthy.

That's what your Christian past would have you believe. Satan and Satanism is completely different. In fact, to all true Satanists, 'Satan' is not an entity but an archetype.

That's not the Christian belief though. They said Satan got greedy and tried to overthrow god. Which It's not.

He's merely a symbol in Satanism. Like you said.

I was alluding to Satan being referred to as an entity that played a roll in the relationship to another deity.

Yes, and I agree. I was just saying that the role of Satan in Christianity is the role of a greedy and evil character. In Satanism he's the savior.
