Haha! Yes the game is very old but I still love it. The gameplay is really great. Have you tried it?

You may give it a try if you want to. Being a novice in RO is not boring at all, especially if you meet nice people who will help you out by handing you things and support you with their strength to level up faster.
What's more fun in it are the job change exams. You need to go through a fun trial before you can change your job.
The basic jobs are Swordie(swordsman), Mage, Thief, Merchant, Archer and each with second jobs and transcendent jobs.
Swordies become Crusaders or Knights. Mage become Sage or Wizard. Merchant becomes ALchemist or Blacksmith. Thief becomes assassin or rogue. Archer becomes bard(if male, dancer if female) and hunter.
Note that the gender of your character depends on how you register your account. You can't choose character gender in-game but they assign your character's genders in your registration form. They will ask you if you are male or female.
If you are a male you will use male characters and female for female characters.
