The funny part being I wasn't elevated. I did it at school, I didn't have admin until I did this trick which didn't require admin in the first place.

A download and burn a Distro to a CD, (I prefer Knoppix or CDL, or you can use BackTrack as JackDaniels said), and just boot the PC from the CD. Go into the drive and do it there. No security to stop you.

Download this ISO file ---> http://www.backtrack-linux.org/downloads/
Restart your computer and boot up with the CD then rename the CMD and so on.
How to boot with CD ? Press the "delete" button at start up and look for "BOOT"
Change boot priority to CD then save and restart.
