What service are you using as the lookup?

What do you mean?

What's used to display Windows NT as the operating system In use?

For example, I've performed various (very basic) IP address lookups that pinpointed my OS.

I honestly have no idea. TOR Browser displays Windows as my operating system, always. Probably because of the constant user agent.

No problem, all good.

In my case, It displays the operating system platform and version. Given OS leaks are leaked by the browser Itself (User Agent) and most leaks are generated via a JavaScript code embedded In the webpage viewed at the time, I've change mine to prevent any entity from Identifying the OS In use.

Interesting. These leaks never happen for me; no idea why.

I'm not sure either.

I'll test It on various OS flavors (on a few online entities) and see whether there's any consistencies.

That'd be awesome! We are both likely using the most recent version of TOR Browser, so... yeah. Pretty odd.

Mine Is always updated to the latest version, so the difference between us both has me somewhat at a loss.

Although it could just be because we are using different operating systems, or because I have NoScript allowing all scripts. Don't know.

Possibly so.

Different configurations/settings may well provide different outcomes.

Very true. It's weird how something seemingly set in stone like TOR Browser can actually change.

I'll download TOR and i'll see how I go.

Does TOR offer that XSS javascript alert box? because, When I see users do an XSS, the box shows and bla bla bla. Never knew how they displayed it.
