A goal is a goal, what you think of it doesn't matter. How deep or shallow, how good or bad. This thread is simply asking for a goal. How well you want to go in-depth of your goal is up to you, all this thread asks you to go in-depth on is the reasoning behind your goal. What you entitle "in-depth" for also depends on you and your goal. For example, regarding your job example. Stating that the reason you want to get a promotion is to get more money is going as in-depth as you can for the reasoning behind your goal. Likewise, stating that you wish to help others because you've suffered a great deal yourself is also going in-depth behind your reasoning.
