I know I'll be killed, but...
My favorite is Windows (8 and XP)... don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting the superiority of Linux over Windows.
Most things I do are available on Windows and some things aren't available on Linux.

XP was great for what it was at its time and even when Vista prevailed. XP will always be remembered.

Only one of the computers I use has Windows 8. The other 5 are XP.

Ehh, I like Mac OS X* a good bit as I do lots of video/photo editing, and Linux is cool enough, but I have to say Windows as I love my video games.
* - Thanks for the correction Primitive - I've been using Mac System 7 and OS 8 for a bit now as I've been working on ARM ASM and working with the Panasonic 3DO SDK, so I haven't been referring to it as OS X for a while.
