Correct, you don't get asked to grant admin privileges, therefore you don't have them. CMD isn't some magical fairyland program that automatically grants the user full admin.

No, it's not. You're right about that. However, you still can change other peoples' passwords with it, if you're in XP.
I was able to do it on my computer. I was even able to do it at school.
In Vista+, when you do the command not running as admin, it asks you for higher privileges. Run as admin, you got the privileges. In XP, you can be a normal account, just run CMD normally, and change passwords without any authentication.

Perhaps you mis-understood me.
I have done it myself. Maybe it's differences in OS types. I say that like Home Premium, Ultimate, etc. Or maybe just OS configuration. The fact being, it is possible.
Or hell, maybe it was in an update. Last time I did it was 1.5 years ago. But my XP did have SP3, and I haven't heard of Microsoft updating XP since Vista came out.

I can go on and on all day. A non-administrator account cannot change any password but their own, and cannot, in fact, change any passwords with net user.

I did it 1.5 years ago, so maybe it was an update in XP. Or possibly a difference in OS type, or OS configuration.
You can give me as much screenshots as you want. The fatc that they're all coming from your own machine means nothing.
I did it myself, so I know it's possible.

i0xIllusi0n, you're using an elevated command prompt if you're changing passwords. Even back in XP, windows had some common sense regarding security.

This shit doesn't work cmd isnt some magical program that grants you admin rights to change passwords....
you need admin rights IN cmd to change pws
