the forums that still stand with a valuable currency have been around for ages.. Their profit does not come from selling their currency, Only from building their reputation of loyal members by selling their stars for cash or traded for with their currency.

I will gladly trust someone on their with 100$, Because they Have an intricate system, Built around these stars Actually holding the higher value, These stars can cost up to 1,000$ to obtain with a total of 50+ tiers, some of the users have 100,000 points est of 5$ per 1K..

These stars show true dedication & when you cross their path they catch your eye, Because they are colorful & Flashy, Your subconscious catches on to them because only a small portion of the Truly Dedicated members have banked out on them. If everyone had stars on here they would become pointless.. The whole purpose of reputation Currencies stars & awards is to prove worth to the community.. if you can get tons of stars & everyone else does as well they'll become common & everyone will see them as nothing special,.

Something you should know about forums is, They are built for the long haul.. if a forum stays populated for 3 years it has a good chance of becoming an actual community that'll stay active regularly.. Commoners don't like stuff in beta, if you keep changing stuff they get mad & they'll simply get headaches because they'll get use to the concept & have it taken from them.

this community has been around for a little over a year from what I can tell, Probably schemed out for quite some time as alpha ,before the initial release.

come close to the 3 year mark anything that is used regularly shouldn't be changed, Modifications are ok because they don't cause distortion.

A concept that'll lose its initial purpose over-time is terrible for the user-base.

its better for something to be hard to achieve rather than easy, Because all they want is for you to stick around, Without stepping on each others toes. I've seen all of the great gamer communities rise & fall.
