I think if you have to ask if you should start, you shouldn't.
If you wish to start smoking it is a personal choice. I smoke just to smoke, not to fit it. Also, weed is not "good" for you, still smoke in your lungs.

Me and a few friends calculated for how much my teacher smoked.
In the end he was able to buy a nice Ferrari 458 Italia( :gusta: ), if he didn't smoke.

Smoking kills you. Plain and simple. It may take a decade or two before you notice, but you're dying every time you smoke. Each cigarette shortens your life by around 22 seconds, I believe it was calculated. Your teeth and nails will go yellow, you'll start to smell bad (and you can't make it go away), you may end up with lung cancer, you'll get a disgusting cough full of phlegm and mucus... it makes you vile.

If you smoke anything, you're risking your life. It doesn't make any difference. Some are worse than others, of course, but all pose a cancer risk.

If you don't have a legit reason as to why you should start smoking and you have to ask people if you should or shouldn't, just don't.
If you were to commence a smoking habit (whether it being Marijuana or Cigarettes), you would only be doing it to fit in with your friends, or to look "cool".
Cigarettes are obviously bad for you, but Marijuana doesn't really affect your health that much. Considering the fact that it's used for medical reasons, it is healthy and does help out some factors of your body, like help with your blood pressure. But any fucking faggot that smokes it will say that they're doing it for medical reasons, even though they're not. If it's not prescribed from your Doctor, then you don't have a reason to do it. Adding the fact that it's also illegal, depending on where you live.
TL;DR version - No. You'd only be doing to make yourself fit in or look cool. It's also illegal.
