Is that a bit like being medically discharged during training?
I'm familiar with the British army terms for the equivalent. Although, in some instances they may ask you to restart training (backsquadding) if you have certain conditions. I know a few people have been able to do that after shin splints and minor injuries. But if you have eczema you're categorically screwed because it classifies as an "open wound". I'd assume that would be true for the marines as well.

Oh damn. That sucks. I know people who did only a couple weeks training and technically got veteran benefits. I'm not sure how long for, though.

As a child, I was allergic to oranges. If I ate an orange, I would walk around with red pimples for a month. It was horrible because I had to limit myself. I don't like restrictions. As a teenager, my allergy to oranges and all citrus disappeared. But a new one started - for nuts.

It's incredible how many people are allergic to dust (most of all humans do to some extent lol), despite the fact it is always present and impossible to completely eliminate. I wish there was a true cure to allergies!
