Police definitely get a bad rep these days. The media and citizens are so quick to hate on law enforcement.. There are for sure corrupt and power hungry officers out there, but the majority of them truly do care about our communities. Working a bit in the field I can vouch that our boys in blue deserve our respect. Not many people can say they'd willingly put their life on the line for a "job".

I personally think the opinion that cops are not doing a good job is idiotic. You only hear about all the terrible things that happen, because it's news. You wouldn't give a news report about how great the cops are doing because it won't make the public have a complete spaz attack. That's all thr news is, scaring the public. Just think how many police officers are out there. Only a few stories come in a week about police brutality or other things. Just put yourself in their shoes, they have a constant target on their back because of all the shitty people out there.

I believe the issue with police has always been around. The only difference now is, in today’s society everyone has a recording device on them (cellphone) and can capture every little moment on film, back then we didn’t have this luxury. So a lot of people see the viral videos of cops and assume all cops are bad. I believe there are some good cops patrolling the street right, and some bad. But everyone only gets to see the bad side of the cops.

There's good and bad In everyone. Personally, I believe the police do a wonderful job to serve and protect.

I don't know about this thread. I just applied to join the feds but, working on Cybercriminal investigations. Gotta start somewhere.
But, we do have good cops and bad cops.

This is what I say, Literally. And its so true cause I have heard more than enough stories from my father of back in the day how it used to be. But i do have to say that in smaller towns and crap. It was different because everyone knew everyone and the officers were from that town. Nowadays cops are from 3 towns over coming to your town to cause trouble cause they have a badge and are "above the law".
