Technically speaking, all of this should be available online as far as am aware staff is not allowed to tell you start dates unless it's the program leader or you would have got told during enrolment however staff isn't allowed to tell you things like that even for exams

Oh damn, I certainly know this feeling. I started a few weeks late as well. It all depends on how good you already know what you're going to learn. I was about 2-3 weeks behind, and while most courses were still busy with the introduction, some moved already quite far.
I'd recommend you just check out the most important, and difficult courses and try to study them, and leave the easiest for later. Don't worry about the decrease of activity, it happens quite often to me as well. I graduated from school so I'll have more time now, but when I had my internship and stuff I didn't have any time either.
Anyway good luck my friend, I'm sure you'll be able to keep up!
