On a related note, I'm considering making a distributed load-balancing OS or framework that allows me to distribute my computing across every computer I have (or I can just use an existing one like Inferno, but I'm too OCD to not make everything myself); that way I can access all my data from everywhere, but not have some of the issues that remote/'cloud' computing has (namely graphics latency, I'll have all graphical processing threads run locally).
In that case, I guess the answer would be both, since the tasks would be distributed.

That's the one thing I dislike with macbooks since, I've never had an issue with any other but, overheating on a macbook does get pretty scary.
Have you tried the fan cooler that the macbook sits on?

I hate those things, I'm more likely to just buy a different laptop

Mediocre lappies, I agree. That's one of many reasons I upgraded to Predators.

I like both... I used my laptop when needing to be mobile but prefer using my desktop because its much more powerful. If I could get my desktop in a laptop and NOT spend so much money... id do it. but Id need two times the money in a laptop for meet my desktops capabilities.

Of course though, I would use a disposable laptop when I learn to do naughty things. I dont want to do them at home to lure the authorities directly to my home... lol

These days though I see people hacking on androids and all that...

Sure you can be more customizing with your desktop. You can build it any way you want. That would be why a desktop would be better but it isn't a viable way to work. Sure you can be one of those guys who can work all day in a corner but where's the fun in that. A laptop can be taken anywhere you want. It can fly up with you on a plane, it can share your hotel room, it can share a bed with you for a while. It can go exactly where the desktop would be but take up less room. Try taking a desktop with you anywhere, it's too bulky to be dragged along anywhere. On top of that, the TSA might interpret it as a bomb threat.
Laptops, they're just much better.

Just put it in checked in luggage, did it with a PS3 once and it was fine.

The TSA is such a dumb administration... A lot of it is just a "security theater" (which can make people avoid considering attacking in the first place though), and people get random stuff through TSA all the time (I know someone who brought knives through on accident, they didn't notice)

I have the new Dell G5 15 5587 Gaming Notebook. This thing is a monster. It has a 8gb of ram, however upgradeable to 16gb. A 128gb SSD, and 1tb HDD. However the HDD is upgradeable to another SSD. The gpu is decent, a GE FORCE 1050ti, however this is when things get weird. There is a Thunderbolt Type-C. You know what that means Biggrin

Yes, the GTX 1070, Quad Core CPU, SSD and 32GB of Ram.

Depending on what I'm doing, It remains relatively cool. It does have a Cool Master fan (cartridge), whereby If It starts heating up, the optical drive slides out and the cartridge takes It's place. There's also Individual cooling controls that can be directly applied.
