For video files I usually just use VLC of course but for audio nothing beats MusicBee in my opinion. Been using it for years and even though I lost like 30 hours of music, it was easy to reintegrate it in the software.

MusicBee? Never heard of it. Do you use Windows, or are you a Linux type?

I've got a gaming rig setup but for day to day stuff I just use Linux. My tv pc I use for movies and music is powered by Windows and has MusicBee on it though.

Gentoo.

Just kidding, I normally do use Arch but my regular laptop has Debian thrown on there for ease of setup. Even though Debian was a pain in the ass to setup.

Debian is what I primarily use. When I was new to Linux, I first started out with Debian. I was beginning to embrace open source software at the time, and it took me over seven hours to fully set up on my computer - I was a rookie at the time, but once I set the thing up, it stopped working properly and I had to repeat the process all over again.

To this day, I have installed Debian probably over thirty times now, and I am now pretty good at installing it. Smile

Debian isn't so bad. It is when all your wireless cards run on the same, unsupported chipset. Luckily my laptop didn't so I use debian there.
