If you're using YouTube on an Android device I recommend YouTube Vanced APK which can easily be found on Google. Blocks ads, little more customization, etc,. FYI

Solid app, sucks that you have to root to be able to use accounts though.

Did you try to find any browser extensions that block ads? I advise you to look into the google chrome online store. There you can find some kind of free ad blocker. For example, iNinja https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ad-blocker-ininja/nikbookgikighfcfijodlhmffkfcemnc . This should be enough for ads to disappear from YouTube.

if you are using pc then you can use Ghostery Privacy Ad Blocker extension it works like a charm in my pc

I've come across Ghostery Privacy, but wasn't aware of It's effectiveness. Appreciate your feedback.
I use AdBlocker via Google Chrome, and It does an amazing job:

I use adblocker integred in Opera Browser turn it on and all ads are dead

It's definitely very effective.
In my above Image, the time saved by not viewing ads Is 43 minutes.

No there's a second app to install if you want to sign in with accounts, it's all in the instructions if you look up the apk
