No I don't mean your personal favourites I mean the actual kinds

• Seeing the local wildlife
  I don't know what it is being that I've been around animals my whole life living in the countryside.  Just having active wildlife, be it small things like the ruffed grouse up to the family of black bears, is always really enjoyable to hear and see.
  
  
• The "basement ambience"
  The status buzzers in my S-100 box, the teletype punching out text from a BBS I dial to, floppy drives clicking, relays switching, spinning 8" hard drives under the PDP, the paper tape punch, old Hallicrafters and Doerle tube sets bringing in random stuff from shortwave bands, flip clocks, etc. just all comes together to make a really satisfying wall of noise that years after fixing up some of this stuff still brings me a smile when I hear it.
  
  
• Clicky Switches
  Keyboards, guitar pedals, power switches, buttons, etc. - no clue why but they're just satisfying.
  
  
• Glowing tubes
  They just looks neat, what can I say? I'm enough of a sucker for these things to integrate them into the most random places so yeah, they make me pretty happy.
