I actually (somehow) remembered his usertitle, but couldn't put a name to It.
It looked familiar to me as well. Would be nice if we had a plugin that did an "aka" under the usertitle for a few weeks after a change, if not an entire history

I'd say more so the latter (entire history). Not all members are active, In fact some are away for months.
A history of username changes will certainly benefit the community.
