Usually (like other trends with MotM) there is a voting poll with the nominees. Most member voted on wins the award.

An argument against it is that it just becomes a popularity contest / being a nice person makes you a great member, and that's not what it's really about.

I'm personally for it. It gives users a reason to be HQ.

Probably nowhere because managing motm seems like it would take too much commitment for this community and no, I'm not kidding.

Wouldn't say it takes so much commitment to host the contest, it's really member-driven.

If we did MotM we would have to set some rules. I personally would disqualify members with bans in the past 3 months.
