He decided to get himself a truck, and didn't really know what to do with the Outlander. Due to my Taurus being a piece of shit and my grandparents refusing to let it go (it's in their name, cheaper insurance) I got this I'm happy for you man! Finally getting rid of that piece of horse shit Ford. Oh god.... stay clear of everything Chevy (at least for consumer vehicles).. and Toyota trucks can be good, but as a mechanic I've seen them go bad more than good. RE: New Car :D - Shin - 04-17-2017 Woah.. I like the fact that it's big, and it could be warm inside the vehicle. 10/10, don't sell it by the way. If you don't like it, in 50 - 60 years time, give it to your son, too.

The Tundra is probably going to do better on reliability, although Chevy is pretty good these days! I would just compare pricing, fuel economy, safety ratings and reliability reports. See which one comes out better on paper. I will admit the Tundra is a pretty nice car too ,though. (04-17-2017, 06:29 PM)Popeye Wrote: Woah.. I doubt the car will still be going, and I hope he is still alive by then, since he'd be in his retirement age lol! Oh dear lord no! also, don't forget to look at average repair costs and recall lists (ford and chevy usually at the top of those) RE: New Car :D - Jiggly - 04-18-2017 (04-18-2017, 12:07 AM)phyrrus9 Wrote:(04-17-2017, 11:47 PM)Jiggly Wrote: The Tundra is probably going to do better on reliability, although Chevy is pretty good these days! O_O You'd know far better than me... I speak only from experiences I was part of... And yeah, good point to add those. My main point was to check out the facts and figures for these cars before choosing one xD RE: New Car :D - Wolfsschanze - 04-18-2017 (04-18-2017, 12:07 AM)phyrrus9 Wrote:(04-17-2017, 11:47 PM)Jiggly Wrote: The Tundra is probably going to do better on reliability, although Chevy is pretty good these days! I had to put half a fortune in the Taurus just to keep it running so yeah. RE: New Car :D - Wolfsschanze - 04-18-2017 (04-17-2017, 06:04 AM)SxTxN Wrote: Pretty shabby for a first car dude. It's actually my second car. My first car's a 2003 Ford Taurus and MAN IT WAS A PIECE OF SHIT!!! If this is shabby for a first car, I think you'd be utterly disgusted by the average first car in the UK lol, I am pretty sure half of them aren't even sold in the US... Nasty little French cars. Also, just realised the car I'm in now (uber) is actually a Mitsubishi outlander... O.o RE: New Car :D - Wolfsschanze - 04-19-2017 (04-18-2017, 10:19 PM)Jiggly Wrote:(04-17-2017, 06:04 AM)SxTxN Wrote: Pretty shabby for a first car dude. Yeah, a "first car" in the US could be anything from a Shitty Dodge Neon to a 90s Toyota Camry. Even the rich kids' first cars are average most of the time, like a Pontiac G6 or some shit. My aunt's first car was a 1995 Chevy Cavalier for example. Now she drives a 2011 Toyota RAV4. |
