RE: Raspberry PI's - prankd - 01-04-2017

I've used my rPi as home entertainment center, but currently I run an automized and edited version of fluxion on it.

Basically asks to login using facebook to connect to the internet, and then never connects *laughs evil*
But you get the point

OpenMediaVault is real nice. You can make a NAS, Plex server, torrent downloader, a Cloud, and the list goes on and on. All of it on one raspberry.

I could try this out, does it work smooth? Every OS I tried runs kind of slow, even the CLI ones. Could be because of the SD card I'm using.

Turn your raspberry pi into a router or even a portable hacking OS which you can SSH into from your phone as it sit's in your bag.

I'll be turning mine into a PiFM XD playing some creepy stuff over the waves see what people think/say/do social experiment

I've been thinking about doing this, though I haven't hade the time to properly configure it and I need to buy an external battery.

I thought about doing this myself but the fact that I have a nexus 5 which is basically a small hacking tool itself makes things easier Smile

I've just broadcast the starwars theme tune over 108FM using this https://github.com/markondej/fm_transmitter

But this one is very interesting it allows you to broadcast over from 5KHz upto 500MHz so your looking at FM & AM and a few others I believe Biggrin https://github.com/F5OEO/rpitx

Just make sure you have looked up what the FCC (or foreign equivalent) allows for personal radio stations, you really don't want to piss those guys off.

I have been doing Smile the cables not overly long so should be small enough to limit the area it's broadcasting, if it's not then I think a few people just heard the purge announcement Biggrin

Yes it does. As long as you don't install to many plug-ins. They are real nice. And they are willing to help out if have any problems. But I just looked it up on on youTube.
