Generally speaking, they're what I call "textbook computational users".
They work by the book during the day, come home to their wives, have dinner, relax by the TV and off to bed at 10:30pm In readiness for ample sleep for another day's work the following day. It's clear who the dedicated and more knowledgeable type Is.
Good luck finding a hacker that will do that for you. They'll either scam you, or just use some automated tools and say it's fine.

I do agree that precautionary measures must be taken, but not If they're reputable and well-known throughout the hacking community via major forums.
If I were In need of such services (which I'm not, because I do the work myself), I wouldn't just grab anyone who wears the label.

On a production environment I would avoid allowing remote access to the MySQL Port. It avoids brute-force attacks by blocking logins all together :/

^^ Exactly this. You can't trust anyone, but there are defintely hackers that have a good reputation and can be trusted. @mothered and I already proposed to help him out. For free, and he won't get scammed by us, because it's free.
Not saying that there aren't hackers that are also scammers, but certainly not all.
