RE: Internet Friends - Zeus - 06-10-2016 Like 90% of the people I know are friends of mine on the Internet. That being said we probably chat on a daily basis. Just as often as I'd talk to someone in real life. Not sure what you'd consider an 'internet friend' That's pretty nice actually. I wonder if Oni and I will end up meeting other SL members in the future. RE: Internet Friends - Jiggly - 06-10-2016 I suppose I don't have many irl friends either. After moving to University I didn't stay in contact well with high school friends and I seriously fell out with the people that were my so-called friend/housemates at University. I think I am happier maintaining a more distant friendship with the remainder of who I consider irl friends. I'm about to move out of the country as well, so maybe that is for the better. Not sure what you'd consider an 'internet friend' meeting up with SL members would definitely be an interesting experience 0.o It's crazy how the internet brings people of all different backgrounds together, based on the 'internet personality' one makes for themselves. Still amazes me everytime I'm around the interwebs RE: Internet Friends - Dyme - 06-12-2016 There are a couple people I met while hacking who I still talk to on a regular basis about everyday shit. Not sure what you'd consider an 'internet friend' I always expected people to act different from their internet persona. However, I've met three people from SL and all there are as cool as they are on here. Maybe people open up more online, and when you've known someone for a while (even on the internet) you feel comfortable enough to stay that way. I would expect people to act different too, but I suppose you are correct in saying that once you know someone pretty well online there isn't much reason to change who they are irl if one were to meetup. I've never had this experience myself, but that makes sense RE: Internet Friends - BreShiE - 06-12-2016 (06-10-2016, 11:33 PM)Oni Wrote:(06-10-2016, 11:32 PM)Jiggly Wrote:(05-30-2016, 02:26 AM)insidious15 Wrote: Haven't really made any friends yet, i've talked around and know some people, though.
