I never use PS haha.
I'm fond of it's free "copy", Paint.NET. It is an amazing program once you get used to it.

You don't need C4D for that. It's really simple to do in programs such as PS or PdN.

PS better in my opinion they are very similar it is just preference I guess, you can do all the same thing just in a different order.

Yes, PS is more "powerful". But it all depends on your skills, knowledge and creativity. But PdN is free, it has a great community an it's plugins are open-sourced.

I used paint.NET when I started out, I have to say if you have a plugin pack; it becomes a LOT more "powerful" as you called it, than PS. Trust me it's much more efficient if you have tons of plugins; but once you start adding more and more plugins it started to become slower.

I have had a ton of them, and then it clogged like you said. So I left around 50 of the which I use regurarly and now it is top notch.

Paint.net is a lot better for pen tooling and pixalted art. It just seems like it works better :3
