The age of the thread has to be 3 months for it to be considered gravedigging now, remember??? In response to the questioned asked in the title, what amazes me is the size computers are continuously shrinking to. Quantum computing is the last step. I wonder what we'll do after that. RE: What amazes you the most about computers? - Alu - 02-28-2016 What amazes me (more so pisses me off) about computers is how humans are so addicted to them. Whenever I'm talking with a friend (or eating at a dinner table with someone), they have to always bring out their cellphones. They couldn't even go a day without using their cellphones, and sometimes I wish computers never existed (cameras spying on us in town or in buildings, people taking pictures of you in public, Google Earth and such where if you commit a crime you can see it from a bird's-eye view, etc.) I wish that the idea of something more than a scientific calculator would never appear. I feel like nothing is private anymore. A technology forum. If your friends are ignoring you because they would rather be on their phone, it speaks more about them than technology. If a government/company is spying on you, it also speaks more about the government/company than technology. Blame people for using technology inappropriately, not technology itself. RE: What amazes you the most about computers? - Rou - 02-28-2016 How a bunch of silicon and metal can be structured in such a way that we can use it to make advanced calculations in nanoseconds. Also, these CPU simulators written in JS: ARM1 6502 6800 RE: What amazes you the most about computers? - meow - 02-28-2016 (02-28-2016, 06:25 AM)Alu Wrote: What amazes me (more so pisses me off) about computers is how humans are so addicted to them.
