Kinda not really. I mean it has similar things, but eh. Portuguese is more similar to Spanish in my opinion.
For example,
"I am her girlfriend"
Spanish: "Yo soy su novia"
Portuguese: "Eu sou sua amiga."
Italian: "Io sono la sua amica."
Which, in these cases I think are translating it as "friend who is a girl"
But same basic thing.

I know a small amount of Portuguese from when I lived in Brazil. I'd say that it definitely shares a lot of similarity to Spanish. I took Spanish classes while I was in Brazil. Needless to say, everyone that knew Portuguese did much better.

I know a small bit of Portuguese from using a chat website called Xat, and I got better prices in the Portuguese trade chat.

I speak Finnish and English fluently, as well as German moderately. I've studied one year of Swedish, and three years of Russian as well, but barely remember anything about those.
