I think you meant to mention him.
To mention someone, you simply type @"username_here, although you have to add another quote after the username is finished.

They are not too similar, but when learning a first language you will be learning much more as you will need to learn to think like a programmer and how to structure a program. After that other languages are more or less just learning the syntax as many of the techniques are the same.
