I agree on what's written in the thread but i also believe that it can be a never-ending discussion. Linux is better than Windows under many points of view but as the above stated, one thing is to use Linux on a client and another one as Server.
I'm not defending and i do not like Windows but stop defining it shit, because if someone of you ever took a Software Engineering course or something like that will surely know how complex would be designing a system like Windows with no security flaws and with less problems in general (and by the way it is not possible to design 100% secure software and hardware).
In the end the solution is to adopt the OS that suits the user's needings as best. Even among Linux users you will find many people that will be disgusted hearing you use a certain distribution. Also consider that it is true that Linux client side has less vulnerabilities than a normal Windows but it's also true that treand has to be considered. Upon its design, Windows has improved quite a lot in security side with latest distribution.

I'm glad you like it! Which distro did you choose? Many people dismiss Linux because it's different to Windows they see the different interface and dismiss it as too complicated because it doesn't look and feel exactly like Windows.

I got windows and linux but i got a server pc that makes it 10 times easier to host things and i got linux anonymus hub on it but my files was 2.0.4.6.200.80.x.284.xx.253 crashed so i got to restart linux and i striped linux and i fund linux all key's and every thing but if i send them i i go to jail i do my best to crash the linux server up in USA so i can send them out.! and thax lad for the help.!

I switched from OS X to Linux after 3 years, and haven't regretted it. Although I like how OS X looks, it doesn't provide the functionality and ability to customize that Linux does.

Apple are very good at telling their customers what they want rather than letting them make the choice themselves especially with the iThings! you could quite easily make your Linux desktop look similar to OSX with a bit of themeing for example an Xfce desktop will give you a launcher bar at the bottom that you can add commonly used applications too similar to the launch bar on the OSX and a bit of tweaking along the task bar and window styles will give you that look you want and then you have the best of both worlds
