I can truly say "Welcome to HackCommunity!". It was a really nice introduction thread you have made there and it pleases me to see that you aren't lying about your skills. You definitely seems like a HQ members and I'm sure you will fit in very well.
As @linuxephus mentioned you should check out the group discussion forum and see if there's anything you find interesting. Also check out the programming sections and feel free to contribute we are in a lack of tutorials and papers on C++.

I believe that's CrazyMouse you're thinking of if I'm thinking of the same "leading competition" that I think you're thinking of.
