It took about 10 minutes to complete. The most challenging part in this is to make it a perfect loop. I just did one gradient with 5 colors first, then liquify to mess with it. Then just animated it to look like a sphere. I'll try to filter it some more to improve it. RE: [Photoshop] Animated rotating planet - LightX - 01-16-2013 I would also make it curve so it looks round. If you look at it for a little bit, it sorta looks like a flat circle. But nonetheless, it looks amazing!

It's based on simple psychology, we accept what's shown and expect more of it. There are two layers in this:- 1) Upper layer - Rectangle with a circle holed in its center 2) Bottom layer - A rectangle "flattened" planet Just start moving the planet layer in one direction, then finish with a complete loop, i.e. end where you started. RE: [Photoshop] Animated rotating planet - Coder-san - 02-22-2013 Bump. So I did some finishing after this topic was bumped. Made some continents, but forgot to make north and south poles bigger. Maybe later. RE: [Photoshop] Animated rotating planet - Coder-san - 02-22-2013 Bump. So I did some finishing after this topic was bumped.
