I would say getting a virus is a learning experience if it should ever happen. Most people don't understand that most bad things are a learning experience.
Ive gotten viruses on past computers. She doesn't trust me anymore. Its been like 3 years though.

What kind of protection is on your PC to prevent you from installing programs? Typical for someone who doesn't realize that you can get a virus in more ways than installing malicious software.

Norton Anti-virus
It automatically deletes anything that seems to be malicious, such as keyloggers.

This is the reason why you can't do anything on your PC? I thought you said she had password protected something so that you couldn't install programs? Or were you talking about Norton?
You can't change it's detection for exclusions?

I would try Ophcrack or Konboot. Both are bootable utilities, she's not going to be able to prevent you from using a boot utility.

Burn CDLinux. It's a linux distro so Norton should not delete it, you should be able to burn it from the ISO. Then boot into that and do the sethc.exe trick.

Ok, I downloaded it and extracted it fine. No virus. So, I burn it to a blank DVD? How do I "boot it up?"

You've never booted from a CD before? Select the boot device from the boot menu or change your boot priority in the BIOS and put the make sure the CD is in when your computer starts up.
