RE: Whats you motto? - Nailo - 10-24-2012 always live in the now and present RE: Whats you motto? - kruelmind - 10-25-2012 One I kind of thought to myself was "Keep yourself" and what meaning I take from it is to stay true to who you are. Don't fall to peer pressure and all that other bullshit. Other than that I kinda combined 2 well known ones. "Knowledge is power. With great power comes great responsibility." The destruction possible with the right information is pretty intense, so I say that to myself as both encouragement to keep learning as well as encouragement to keep my ass out of the government's cross-hairs. RE: Whats you motto? - Bravo - 10-25-2012 You can't truly live life by one motto. Really, there are a couple of quotes and phrases that fit my views on different general subjects. Chief among them: Quote:"Know ye not that thine bodies are the temple of God?" - 1 Corinthians 6:19, Holy BibleJust because we're sitting behind computers for our hobbies or careers, doesn't mean our bodies aren't important. I hope to be sitting in a nursing home on my hover-chair with a twenty-core laptop writing some C++++ or HTML19. Quote:"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin FranklinI got this one from somebody's signature, though I don't recall if it was this forum or elsewhere. Quote:"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution impossible." - John F. KennedyThis one speaks for itself. RE: Whats you motto? - Blixuk - 10-25-2012 I am apart of everyone I have met and they are apart of me. We make impressions on one-another and leave a memory that becomes apart of our lives forever. Then one day you will see something or do something that will make you smile or make you cry and you will remember the reason why and that person. Even if you don't remember there name or there face you will remember the impression they made. More of a saying then a quote, but that what I believe. This was written by me.
