I do not know the installer of pastebin but is there by chance that there are ads in the installer and that the OP didn't deselect it or even more stupid: ran the default installation

I read it but all it says after installation there was a file on his hd, and the user thinks its not overly malicious, you said it wasn't malicious following a scan but that doesn't take away it could still be INSTALLED through a default setup..
It doesn't need to be harmfull but it can be unwanted...
