Tried. Sucks, too hard. You have to guess where you're going to hit lol. You can know proportionally, but still really tough..

Well, feel free to add us when you want. I'll post a small guide I did from another place here.
I use a tablet, but I did use a mouse for about a year before making the switch. I'm not an extraordinary player, but I'm no new player either - if you want to get better in my opinion, this is what I do to go from a C/D rank to an A/S rank for a song:
Getting Better at a Particular Song
1) Play it once or twice, with no-fail on. Get a feel the song, know the beat, the beatchanges, the tricky parts, etc.
2) Next, although many don't like this part, play the song at Half Time. Although time consuming, it'll help you narrow in on the most difficult parts, snatch the offbeats, and so on. Feel free to S/SS this part if you'd like, it'll help with getting the practice in for the beatmap.
3) When you feel like you're good to go (have most of the combo down), play the song again and see how you fare. If you're near Perfecting it, then good job! Play it at normal tempo and keep it up. If you're still having a bit of trouble at certain parts, follow the next step.
4) If you have trouble keeping beat, doing streams or managing jumps, just head over to "Edit" mode and move toward the section(s) you're having trouble with. You can isolate the part in "Edit" mode without having to play the song over and over again, saving time on parts you already know. Repeat until you have it down.
If you have any questions, just ask! I've been playing for almost 3 years, I'm nowhere near as pro as the top 1000 players or anything; I just enjoy it for fun. I'm learning as much as you are.
