I'd remove the point about advertising your product, that's not really the idea of Sinisterly...
Or at least make sure to say that it has to be within a specific section, and that other forums cannot be advertised.
Again, I was never really against invitation-only systems. Just disliking the open-for-all one.

I like this thread, however just like mine about spam bots, no one will really care/read it. If this thread starts getting the attention of new members I will consider sickying the thread.

@BreShiE What exactly do you mean by getting the attention of them? Something like they'll actually see this thread and do what's suggested, or they'll post in the thread? Either one would benefit more if they saw this stickied, in my opinion.

The thing is, people like the idea of a closed community, but they fail to understand the harsh realities of such a thing. If it were a closed community, we wouldn't have a lot of the people that currently make Sinisterly what it is, and we surely wouldn't have nearly as much activity. What people don't remember, is that the site started to die after it had been closed for a while. Invitation codes went unused, people got bored seeing the same people every day, and all in all it got old.As the owner, I have weighed the pros and cons, and as awesome as it might be to be closed off from the rest of the internet, we're not ready. We might be one day, but not today, and maybe not anywhere in the near future.
