You neglect to answer my questions, for the sole reason of not having the knowledge to do so. I will answer yours pertaining to gaining access to a system by having their IP address. There's so many methodologies, just too much to document. Here's a couple so read and learn:

With the second link, all that's needed to access to the recipient's Router. Evidently you have very little knowledge on the topic at hand, so In future, refrain from commenting on something that Is beyond your comprehension.

Indeed, with a router that publicly interfaces you could possibly gain access to there router, but Once again, you're being a idiot because no where in these blog's or anywhere else does it actually show you how to do it,
1: If you were even going to attempt to use metasploit to gain access to anyones computer, you would need the ip first and on top of that you would need to be running a very very old version of windows, not only that but referring to the allowing remote desktop connection to your computer, the second link you provided is basically saying that if you have access to someone elses computer, that in order for you to have remote connections to that computer that you would need to open a port on there router, now if i'm seeing this correctly there would be NO POINT whatsoever of using a VPN when the person that is trying to get into your computer is literally sitting in front of it, EDIT: Now that i read it a little more, it is actually for people that WANT someone to have remote access to there computer, did you read before you posted your statement?
2: The very first link you provided isn't talking about home computers, from what i see it is addressing them as websites, and we all know that websites can be vulnerable, save yourself from replying to me and just crawl back under the rock you originally came from because you are cancer.

By the way, it's entirely possible to gain access to a machine if you have the IP address. If that machine is running vulnerable software, a vulnerable OS, a vulnerable router, etc, etc.
