Well if you are keeping updated on space venture then you should know that we have
sent a rover to mars and their is a private company that is sending people to mars in a few years.

We just dont go to the moon because as of now we have no use.
Although there is a company that wants to put solar panels wrapping around the moon and in theory it would power all of our energy needs.
I would also think the moon would be a great archive/military zone.
