When you get caught your parents will ground you and it will suck. RE: My earnings today so far - BlueScreen - 02-24-2014 Lel. When bluey still had a job he made double that in an hour. Why would you brag about this? RE: My earnings today so far - Crypt - 02-24-2014 (02-24-2014, 03:07 AM)Adorapuff Wrote: Your 13. When you get caught your parents will ground you and it will suck. They support me studying cyber-security. So even if I did get caught (unlikely) they wouldn't ground me. This. Paypal fraud is different to credit card fraud. Banks will refund your stolen money, making the only long-term loser being the corrupt money whoring, government controlling banks but PayPal don't give people their stolen money back, so if they are spending their PayPal balance then the people lose out. Since when has it been such a desire to steal money from people who most likely work hard to earn it? What ever happened to good old "stealing from the rich, to give to the poor". What happened to good old fashion hard work? I work in a job, that pays below minimum wage because that's the only job in my area that I can get right now. I still prefer this over stealing money from other people. Plus the job is fun and gets me out of the house. To elaborate on my job a little, it's an "under the table" job, meaning I get paid cash in hand with no tax. I get £25 currently per day, working at 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. So let's do the maths. My current pay would be worth, for the 7 days, £175. So due to the fact I work 8 hours that's £3.125 per hour and minumum wage for my age range is £5.03 (so an underpay of £1.905 per hour). Now, if I were to be earning minumum wage in this job, I would be getting £5.03 an hour, which means £40.24 a day and £281.68 for the week. If you do further math the loss is rediculous. However we also have to take tax into account. I used a salary calculator to find the below information. ![]() So this means I'm still getting incredibly underpaid. But hey, it's a job, it's fun, easy and I fucking love it. I don't care about the underpayment. I just love having money that I know I earned myself. Ah, the joys of not having to be self-sustaining. It just so happens that the poor(er) are better targets, for a variety of reasons. One, they do not have as good of security. A major cause of this is that they simply cannot afford to throw money into their security. They also have not had much, if any, training on how to reduce what can be lost with a single attack. Two, they, as a whole, have lower cost-of-entry to attack. Let's assume a cost of 100 USD per SSH server( I realize that's astronomically high ). For attacks against individuals, I can tunnel 1 or 2 connections and be confident in my security. If I were to hack a multimillion dollar coporation, I would invest in 4 or 5 SSH servers to tunnel through, and likely other expensive solutions too. Ahh, the good old days of honor among thieves. No one's ethical any more. |
