I'm not 100% sure, but I think this site was hacked or SQL injected, as it has some redirect ads on it. I dealt with similar issues in the past.
It sucks that you don't even have a method of contact for him, no discord or email or anything?
Emailed and messaged on Discord. His opsec is unparalleled, but also a double-edged sword.
No causes for concern in logs, but hoping our friend didn't have a heart attack or something like that.

I could be incorrect, but I believe the domain registration lapsed. He ditched his blogs a while ago.

Yeah that was me that gave out the Wayback Machine links in a couple posts. I don't think he would just abandon that site. I talked to him once about how long his articles are saying they probably take him at least a couple hours to write. He responded with incredulity saying they take way longer than 2 hours and he has hundreds of articles on there.

If I had to guess he either set up a small elite pay SE site or he has done so well over the years he's semi retired. From reading a lot of his blog and posts and catching certain things he says that I remembered I am fairly certain he is one of the older SE's out there in the 40-45 year old range. Not too much older than me.
Maybe he's just taking a break like I have to do now every few months. Refunding tires me out faster than it did a few years ago and takes up more of my time and I don't even work and haven't in 20 years.

He's a great mentor and had zero ego for such a knowledgeable person.
Usually he logs in every 2-3 days and it's been about 2 weeks. No explanation owed if he is just taking a break, although it is bizarre he disappeared right before the site's birthday. While I don't think he's in a situation of duress, I do believe something happened to him.
Yeah that's what makes it mysterious and a little worrisome. It's not like me where I take a few months off from exhaustion and mental health deterioration. He was here 11 years.
I think he had the 2nd most posts of anyone on the site. Hell I thought it was his site when I joined. Once a day he would go down the whole 1st page of posts in this forum and respond to like 15-20 in a row.
But I still think he is ok in terms of any thing to do with the law. At least regarding this stuff. Could be s health issue or some other law issue like a DUI or a domestic fight.
I'm almost positive he's not from the US but if something went down it would probably made the news. Like that dude from North Carolina returning almost $200k of dirt and selling the $4000 camera right back on Amazon.
Place isn't the same without him here. He always gave out advice and tried to help people. He had good vibes and never was combative.
I believe similar. It's very uncharacteristic of him not to let anyone know if he's had to come away, which suggests whatever happened was very sudden. I'd be surprised if it's anything legal, but that leaves one thing: Unexpected health crisis of some kind.
I have a bad feeling we may never see him again, but I pray every day that's not the case. He is sorely missed. While he may not have been mod for his entire time on the site, he certainly has been the best one we've ever had (not to diminish others, but to speak to his high standard).

At first, I thought he might have taken a vacation, which was a plausible possibility, but now his absence is becoming increasingly unusual.
He hasn't been arrested. He's too clever and competent for that. I believe something related to his health may have occurred.
Hold on tight and don't give up buddy.

As far as I'm aware, he doesn't own a forum and he shut down the sites he did run.

Could someone reach out to Omniscient? They likely could have stumbled into something we don’t as far as personal information goes. I guess a location would be a good start; local obituaries or death records, then local criminal records. Etc.
