I too actually feel as though we should re-close, and go back to the invite system. I've seen several LQ members joining, or trying to hock their crap around the site trying to sell it to us.

I like the idea of making the forum go back to invite only mode.
There is more LQ members/posts ( not that i'm a HQ user )

New members are always great, though. It helps bring diversity to the content that is posted on SL.

Sinisterly was, however, meant to be an invite-only forum, and honestly the filtering such a system provides is worth it.
And, uh, don't want to shoot you down but just being realistic:
