As I've always said, it depends entirely on the voice actors. Some English voice actors are really good and I enjoy watching the dub if they are in it. Tongue

Dubbed because I'm too lazy to read.

Well at least you're honest about it :p

Subbed because, while I am lazy, I enjoy reading and lips that aren't synced piss me off.
And often times, those that are synced? They just have terrible voices..

subbed. Usually the Japanese voice actors are way more into it

Yeah I totally agree with that

I'd go with sub always. Why? Because i often have the feeling that english VA's just can't convey the feelings that are presented in the japanese dub that makes a show have their perticular shine on it, but maybe that's because i've pretty much grew acustumed to the subs... But then again, there are some awesome VA's in some shows dubs, like the english VA of Lelouch perfectly presented Lelouch's character in the dub and the german dubs are also quite interesting to hear, but still, i'd always go with subs.

Can an english VA do this? Biggrin

Dubbed because I want to see the action on screen and hear it too. Sometimes I'll listen to the Japanese track because some of the voices are good.

I don't really mind, but in the case that the dubbed version has higher-quality audio (5.1 channel Dolby Digital as opposed to 2 channel PCM for the JP soundtrack) I prefer the dubbed version. I'm an audio freak so I'll always choose surround over stereo.

Subs are preferred when the audio quality is equal in both versions. I've never seen an anime in which the JP original was higher fidelity than the English dub.
