RE: How did you start smoking ? - blamb1 - 02-05-2023 I watched my parents smoke through my adolescence until my curiosity eventually got the better of me and I started to take her cigarettes. I had heard my mother use the term addiction and had always wondered what it was like to be addicted to something and I inevitably learned the hard way, a morbid curiosity maybe. It's a very difficult habit to kick, particularly If you're not mentally ready. I've been smoke-free for 15 years without a single puff since the day I quit. One of the hardest things about quitting, Is not starting up again. If you have friends who also smoke, It's easy to go back to It. I'm with you about walking without running out of breath - I've been doing It with Incredible ease since a few months after quitting. RE: How did you start smoking ? - laininthewired - 02-19-2023 First time I picked up a cig was one out my dads pack when I was 8. Took 3 puffs, coughed my lungs out and never touched it again. Then came mango Juul pods in the 7th grade.... then puff bars....then fumes....then a novo 3..... and now elf bars. Been trying to kick my nicotine habit for years now, I find I can go 1-2 days until the cravings take over and I hop in my car to speed off to the gas station for that sweet sweet gummy bear flavored cancer. |
