To be fair if anyone wants to have a chip implanted for whatever reason that's their own business as is buying a smart phone or signing up to Netflix.
And it not like they have a range of more than a few inches.and its not like there's a big screen somewhere with everyone's location on it as i think you imagine there is.
If they wanted that they could just buy the info from google, amazon, Instagram, Facebook or thousands of other places that are already well established in the field.
Its for clocking into work or ordering a coffee at most and also no where near an original idea.
