There are ways to make it anonymous-ish, but that wasn't the main design goal. The goal was to solve the double-spend problem without a central agency. It has less to do with public/private keys, and more to do with the fact that all transactions are public record on the blockchain. It makes it pretty easy to turn up during a forensic accounting audit. |
