I don't see how it's vague, they're saying to learn C++ and a scripting language. Although I disagree that Perl should only be learnt when you know what you're doing, it's the best scripting language in my opinion and can be learnt by anyone with a drive to learn.

Well what classifies as a Scripting language? Maybe it was my ignorance that caused me to think he was being vague. Also Star fall. I'm reading that link you put up. Thanks, and I also found the other link you put up Cyan by some Googling the other day and began reading it too.
