Remember that China is still technically communist, so no( foreign? ) company owns land there, per say.

Sweden is half democracy, half Socialist; I shouldn't even have to explain to you how well off they are, same with Germany, and even "Communist" Russia. It's just as easy to start a business in those countries as it is in America. No, not everyone can take a shit in a $700 toilet, but we're still all human.

I completely agree with this; how can the american government be so afraid of socialism that they can't offer free education or health care for the citizens? I've personally heard people say that someone who did not work for it should not have the profit. From free education, for example everyone would profit; countries like Sweden(?) and Finland score better on international tests than US.

Firstly, China does have a small elite group, if you were a part of that group, sure you would like to live in China. And yes, you're completely right in saying that the US does not owe China that much money. But by owning we do not necessarily mean owing money; check this CNN article (i know, not a great source... commercial networks) or what happened with Volvo. I will also look for sources on my personal favourite news source (YLE, www.yle.fi/uutiset/news the finnish national media; good for two reasons: one, funded by the government; not dependent on the sales.) I'll edit that info in later (if i find anything)
Thanks for all the responces;
