It depends on what you are talking about. I use Avast free for everyday use, and Malwarebytes for exsiting infections. I also have Combofix and Rkill for when shit gets serious. Although ive never had to use those for me. I have used them on clients machines though.

The only good antivirus is a fleet of antiviruses. Never have all your eggs in one basket. Spybot search and destroy, SuperAntiSpyware, Malabytes Anti-Malware.

ive got to give another should out for MBAM PRO. i purchased the pro version last year in june. i have activated it on 4 different builds. i just activated with my personal license again (101012) almost 1.5 years after purchase.
i never found a section in their faq stating how long the its good for or on how many computers you can use that license on, but for 25 bucks its probably the best money ive spent. id buy it again just because its such a good product.
although hitman pro is a better product, all i ever do is use it to show me where the infections are, i can manually remove them.

On my desktop I use Kaspersky Internet Security, and on my laptop Eset Nod32 Internet Security.
