If I'm in the mind of my seven-year-old self then I want to say DOOM (either 3DO or Atari Jaguar) or Star Fighter on 3DO would have been my top picks. For what I remember before getting really big into Steam with TF2 coming out anyways I always loved the open world aspects of Star Fighter and DOOM was just a really cool soundtrack coming out of the 3DO.

If not those then Timesplitters 2 is it, that was and still is my favorite shooter on the original Xbox anyways.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Kojima's best work after Peace Walker.

Speaking of PS1, did you get a chance to play Driver?

It was one of my favorites back (I think) In the late 90s. I haven't played anything for close to 15 years.

I'm not actually sure. Since I was rather young in the 90s (I won't say exactly, for fear of making everyone feel old) the games were all my Dads. I recall playing a bunch of driving games, shooters and goodness knows what else. However, I cannot remember what they were called. Once my parents divorced, the only console we had was a Nintendo Wii! xD

It's pretty difficult to remember that far back, particularly at a very young age.

I remember the Nintendo Wii very well, and also the good old Nintendo 64- countless hours of gaming on that.

man it would really have to come down to different generations of my life that I've been gaming.

When I was a kid, my very first system was a PS1 classic, and my favorite game on there was Rogue Trip and Ridge Racer Type 4.

When I was a teenager with a PS2, my favorite game was Way of the Samurai and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

As an Adult and primary PC gamer, I've put the most hours into ELITE: Dangerous, EVE, Star Trek Online and Elder Scrolls Online, but I have so many damn games I really like that it's hard to choose since they're so abundant these days.

As for my tastes, the more in-depth customization, exploration and possible thieving, the better.

Probably gonna throw out my favorite to be either the original Half Life (1998) or the original Silent Hill for the original PlayStation, lately its been some of the Fallout games, but there's so many its hard to pick.

Halo 3, definitely. It was so immersive and the multiplayer community was everything I needed. The campaign missions were so good, you felt like you were in an actual war fighting those scarabs and piloting the hornets.
