RE: What's the point of DDosing? - Ultimatum - 09-26-2012 DDoSing is really for a few little boys who can't stand their friends calling them skids *and their friends happen to be skids too of course*. Therefore, they go to skid forums and pay 50 bucks for a 10 second 1GB/s hit at their fwiend. And guess what? They get a Skype IP Resolver and go for a hit. Rounds and rounds around. That's the point of DDoSing. RE: What's the point of DDosing? - Anonymous - 11-26-2012 Man, I wish I was apart of a a DDoSing service...Theres good money in this because people rage at someone better than them and want boot them off line for talking mad crap to each other. RE: What's the point of DDosing? - Jolly - 11-26-2012 Some people are just evil, some want revenge, the clever ones get money and revenge at the same time. I disagree DoS attacks can crash the system which will bypass XSS filter for example. There are many points od DoS attacks RE: What's the point of DDosing? - Xeronations - 11-29-2012 You forgot to add DDoSing for no reason. A lot of skids used to DDoS my forum for no apparent reason. Very annoying. RE: What's the point of DDosing? - Zealotry - 11-29-2012 It's a quick and easy option. Plus, it's pretty irritating. However, I don't DDoS anymore. I proxy DDoS attacks now (I have my forum's IP masked to a competing site when the Cloudflare is resolved.) DDoSing alone is the skid option, honestly. DDoS attacks aren't always made by script-kiddies. From an offensive stance, distributed denial of service attacks are generally used as a last resort. If there are no other holes in a site or server's security, it might be the best (or only) option. Usage of a botnet as a last resort doesn't necessarily make someone a script-kiddy, as there may be no other options. However, if someone is using a botnet as their primary means of attack, especially with little or no knowledge of how the attack works - then they are a script-kiddy. I'm going to assume you agree, since you said "DDoSing alone" would make someone a skid. Of course. DDoS as a last option or in conjunction with one or more different attacks is perfectly acceptable. RE: What's the point of DDosing? - ねこまっしぐら - 01-12-2013 I know people who DDoS kids over xbox so they think the're hackers. They just leach from hack forums for a free shitty booter. |
