I certainly do remember Windows Vista.
I ran It for a number of years and to the contrary of most user's thoughts, It actually served me well. I didn't experience any major Issues.
The problem wasn't really vista, but rather the industry itself. XP was a very lightweight operating system for the features it provided, and prior to that Windows would be considered unusably basic to modern teenagers. When vista came out it introduced a lot of new, specifically UI features that had never really been seen before, and the people providing hardware didn't upgrade their machines to match the new requirements. The result were machines designed to run windows ME trying so hard to push through vista. Those people who spent the extra money and got the beefier machines didn't have nearly as many issues as those who didn't.

Definitely so with a system that's designed to accommodate It. This can be said for all OSes.
Having said that, I did come across a few users who complained of It's stability on a system that could well and truly handle It at the time. I didn't experience anything of the sort.

My second PC was Vista installed initially. I don't remember I had a problem with Vista like others says they are. Rather I loved it, It was way better than the XP

As with every OS, there are drawbacks. I personally didn't experience any major flaws with Vista.
True, I just guess I hated how slow it responded for me and the design of it.
The PC I had at the time, came Installed with Windows Vista. This means all the OEM bloatware was Inclusive, thereby slowing down It's overall performance and having an Impact on It's stability as well.
I decided to delete all partitions and Install my own custom copy of Vista using "vLite" at the time which removed unwanted features, files etc. I must say, It ran 50% better than It's factory state.

I really suggest that you move from Ubuntu to OpenSUSE or Arch/Antergos.
Ubuntu (non-server) breaks a lot, and has a ton of useless bloat that you don't need. On top of that, they announce that they spy on you like Windows (read the privacy policy).
